We can usually learn much more from people whose views we share than from people whose views contradict our own,disagreement can cause stress and inhibit learning.

Man being a social animal usually interact with other people, share his views, experiences with them.Now, there are two possibilities either one can agree with something or completely disagree with it. As author says, when two people share common views, they explore more and learn more as compare to those who have completely distinct view.Additionally, he says, disagreement can inhibit learning and thus cease the further progress.However, people having contradictory views interact more to know perspective of other person, share it with one another, discuss on it from all possible directions.

Contradictory views give rise to moot point.One try to bolster his views by including all related possibilities. To exemplify this, say two pupils are discussing about social networking. one was in favor of it while another is against of social networking.Now,the one is in favor will elaborate all pro's of social networking whereas another one contradict him.Thus,unknowingly they will exchange plethora of examples, experiences to foster their stand. Sharing views will enhance their knowledge related to social networking site.

When people share common views, agree with each other hinders further progress. Similar thoughts never discussed and act as obstacle to one's development. In classroom also we have different teacher for different subject. Each one having vast knowledge and experience in his subject. To become versatile is indispensable in today’s competition which is not possible without social interactions because social meeting provides great platform to share and contradict views. TO illustrate this, in a lecture passive student does not grasp in comparison of active student. Active students are much more attentive and interactive in the class, asks tremendous questions to this teacher curious to know its answers and thus enhance their knowledge.

Moreover, Contradiction teaches one to respect other person's point of view. In debate or in group discussion, one a person elaborating his point other listens to him.

Contradiction helps to receive all different kind of ideas, encouraging respecting other's view, change one's attitude towards something and making oneself to explore his views.
