The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries.

The graph represents the information about global water use in three sectors: agriculture, industry and domestic used from 1900 to 2000. The table reveals the water consumption in Brazil and Congo in the period of 2000.

Generally, water is used majority in agricultural sector, followed by industry and domestic through the years. It relates to the data from the table that shows high consumption of water in irrigated land both in Brazil and Congo.

In 1900, the water used in industrial and domestic sector started in low rate, around 10 km cubic. The pattern for both increased steadily toward 2000 around 100 km cubic and 900 km cubic in domestic and industrial used respectively. Agriculture grew significantly in 1970, rose gradually until 1980, and reached around 2,800 km cubic in 2000.

From the table, it could be shown that the highest population the highest consumption of water used. In Brazil, by 176 million population the water consumption was 359m cubic per capita. In contrary, Congo with lower population, 5.2 million, the water consumption was only 8m cubic per individual.

To sum up, the water used was dominant in agricultural sector because it is related to the real sector which is also reflected to the number of population.
