The figures give information about the usage of water in worldwide since 1900 to 2000 and water consumption in two different countries in 2000.

The graph notes the usage of water in industrial and domestic sectors reached approximately 100 per cubic in 1900, and increased rapidly in 1950. Since 1950, water usage in the industrial sector rose steadily and reached nearly 1000 per cubic in the 2000. While, domestic sector grew more slowly to only 300 per cubic. These sectors level were below agriculture sector, which used from about 500 per cubic to around 3,000 per cubic in 2000.

The table shows the difference in water consumption between Brazil and Democratic Republic of Congo (Congo) in 2000. The figure reflected that Brazil has larger area than Congo. So, it used 359 per cubic of water. However, Congo only needed 8 per cubic of water in 2000 due to its population, which is only 5.2 million.
