The chart shows us about amount of global sales at games in software CDs, DVD or videos from 2000 until 2003. In year of 2000, games software has the least amount of global sales and the highest global sales is games in CDs with more than $30 billion. Still in the year of 2000, global sales of games in DVD/video only took more than $10billion selling, however it was higher than software.
One year after, in 2001 the amount of global sales of games software has slightly increase than in 2000 and it also happen in DVD/video games. But unfortunately, it didn't go very well for games in CDs, because they had less amount of global sales than in 2000.
In 2002 and 2003 these three types of games (software, DVD/Videos, and CDs) have change. As for games softwares' amount of global sales from 2002 to 2003 has increased. Thus for global sales of DVD/videos have increased but the difference between games software and DVD/video is DVD/video game has huge increased of their global sales. For sure, DVD/video's selling went pretty well in 2003. However CD game has not much changing from 2002 to 2003, it only has slightly decreased from those years.
So, from that chart I have an opinion that people keep changing their way to play games. As time goes by, technologies more innovative and bocomes easier to use. It also happens in games video, many people choose to play in CD or software because they are easier to use and play. Beside that, the graphic in software has better quality.
