The pie charts show the proportion of various expenditures incurred by a UK school in 1981,1991 and 2001.The data has been calibrated in percentage.

It is quite illusive from the charts that staff salaries accounted for the greatest expenditure in all three years. The school disbursed 40% of it's budget for teachers' salaries in 1981 before the figure fluctuated progressively to reach 45% in 2001. Other workers' salaries estimated to be 28% of the expenditure in 1981, not after it decreased gradually to reach 22% and 15% in 1991 and 2001 respectively.
