It is clearly seen that first bar chart illustrates declining number of marriages as well as divorces. On the other hand, merital status describes four different status that married was the greatest number than the others.

Starting in 1970, marriages and divorces data of the USA people started at 2.5 million people and 1 million people respectively. Ten years after that, number of marriages shows the steady number while number of divorces increased by 0.4 million people. In the end of year survey, data of marriages declined to 2 million people when the data of divorces presents the data as 1970.

The other bar chart describes marital status of adult Americans shows the percentage the status of never married, married, windowed, and divorced. The data which compares between 1970 and 2000 illustrates that never married at 15% in 1970 and 20% in 2000. The married status decreased percentage from 70% to 58%. Nevertheless, windowed and divorced status existed just under 10% of all.
