The bar chart below shows the percentage of students who passed their high school competency exams, by subject and gender, during the period 2010-2011.

The provided bar chart illustrates proportions of male and female students who succeed in their high school competency exams within seven broad categories for 2010/11 term.
Overall, girls have a overwhelmingly large percentage on computer science and chemistry whereas, boys outnumbered girls only on geography. For other subjects, they almost got similar percentages and girls are more successful in every single branch. Regardless of the gender, computer science, mathematics and foreign languages are reported to be the most successful branches whereas chemistry, history and geography are the least.
In terms of computer science and chemistry, it can be clearly seen that girls vastly outnumbered boys. For chemistry, girls accounted for 30.2% whereas boys are less than half of this with 14.1% and when we turn to computer science, girls stand for 56.3% whilst boys are 14% lower than this which is 42.1%.
Switching to geography, boys predominance in this branch is clear in which around three out of every ten boys were successful whereas only around two out of ten girls were successful.
As for other branches, which are physics, history, foreign languages and mathematics boys are just behind the girls with mostly around 3%.
