The bar graph compares three categories of activities which adults find challenging when they move to settle overseas and how the difficulties vary according to their ages.
Overall, it is obvious that, among three age groups, making friends and searching for accomodation are the most troublesome for the the people aged 18-34, while both problems experienced the least by the elderly. In contrast, learning foreign language is the most problematic with people aged 55 and over.
The percentage of 18- to 34- year- old having the problem with establishing new friendship and seeking new house are about 45% and 40% respectively, in comparison to those of the elderly, which is just around 25% and 22%. At the same time, in the middle age group, about 35% of people think making friends is a problem for them and approximately 38% of people experience the latter, as almost many as people in the youngest group.
The highest percentage of people have trouble with learning new language is in the vicinity of 55% in the over 55s, as around twice as the percentage in the youngest group, with nearly 30%. Meanwhile, about 35% of 35- to 54- year-old think that language barrier is an obstacle.
