People who use bicycle for their work commute are more more concerned about their health and environment. An equal percentage (30%) of people think that cycling will improve their health and fitmess and reduce the pollution factor. Whereas, commuters who utilize car think that it is more comfortable and safer option than cycling. Majority of car users accept comfort (40%) is main reason they choose to be in car followed by safety (21%).

15% cyclers see cycling is a perfect solution to the ever increasing problem of finding a parking space and 13% believe that it is a low cost mode. Only a small percentage of 12% cyclist argue that it is faster than driving. On the contrary, an equal percentage (14%) of car lovers claim that motoring is faster than cycling and it is easy to carry things to work. But merely 11% of four wheel users use cars because it is safer than cycling.

In conclusion, there are many reason that influence a person when they select their mode of commuting. It is always unique according each persons preference and interest.
