The diagrams below show the design for a wave-energy machine and its location.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The figure given illustrates a wave energy machine and the process of its energy production and the location where the wave energy machines are installed.

First let’s have the look at the working of the wave energy machine. When waves enters through the inlet of the machine and air enter from another inlet present at the top. when the water level rises and enters into the next chamber where the turbines are present. The water starts moving upward and air rushes down in rotational force causing the turbine to rotate and thus, producing the electricity via generator.

Secondly, the wave energy machines are located near to the sea water in between to the high waves and small waves. The advantage of the small waves is that installation cost is less as it is near to the land whereas the energy output is low. When we go through the large waves the output is very high but installation cost is more as it has to be installed deep into the sea.

Overall, wave energy machine is beneficial in energy production and it must be installed deep in water to work more efficiently.
