This is a line graph, which demonstrates percentage of population aged 65 and above in three different countries in past and future. The proportion varies among the countries during different years.
Japan consists of the lowest percentage of 5% of people with 65 and above in 1940. On contrast, USA has the highest percentage of proportion in the same period, which is approximately two times higher than Japan's proportion.
However, the proportion had changed significantly during 2040, where as USA with the lowest percentage of 23% and Japan with the highest percentage of 27%. Further, Sweden remained second in both 1940 and 2040.
In addition to the above, Sweden recorded the highest percentage of elderly citizens during 2010 of 20%. On the other hand, Japan was lowest until 2030 and the percentage increased drastically beyond 2030 and became the highest proportion during 2040.
In conclusion, a mixed movement is observed in the proportion of elderly people in mentioned countries during 1940 and 2040.
