The graph below shows the consumption of fish and different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given line graph below provides information on the amounts of fish, chicken, beef and lamp consumed weekly by a person in a particular European country from 1979 to 2004, a period of 25 years. A glance at the graphs reveals that the consumption of chicken increased remarkably over the time, whereas fish was not as preferred by people as the three different types of meat.
Now, turning to the details, in 1979, beef was by far the most popular of these foods, each person ate about 225 grams chicken weekly. Besides, lamb and chicken were consumed in nearly similar quantities (around 150 grams per person per week), while that of fish just over 50 grams in this year.
However, during this period, the consumption of beef and lamp declined significantly to approximately 100 grams and well-over 50 grams successively. In addition, that of fish also observed a slight downward trend to reach around 50 grams at the end of the period.
On the other hand, the graph shows a considerable growth of chicken consumption, which overtook that of lamb in 1800, and that of beef in 1989. By 2004, it eventually reached its peak about 250 grams weekly per person.
