The stipulated line chart depicts pollution level in city of London in a span of four and a half centuries from 1550 to 2000. The mentioned parameters are sulfur dioxide and smoke.

It is clear from the graph is that during the 15nth century, the air was very clear and there was no sign of pollutants like sulfur dioxide and smoke. But in 1580 onward the figures showed some signs of pollution kick off with a very little figure 1 micrograms of sulfur dioxide per cubic meter. Then it was gradually increased and reached not so high. Indicator of 800 micro grams per cubic meter in 1725. After that it showed some fluctuations till the year of 1850, where it peaked with a second level of sulfur content(900 micrograms /cubicmeters). From 1851,the indicators showed a sign of decline of sulfur content in the city except in 1880, in the end of millennium it reached the same point where all it started (almost 0).

The presence of smoke in the air also showed the similar trend. The earlier millennia witnessed no smoke at all just the clear air. After some perood,it also showed some presence in the atmosphere from the year 1850 to be exact. It indicated a slow rise for almost 3 centuries til 1880, where it showed a figure 450 micrograms per cubic meters. After this, the indicator showed sign of fall and severe downward fluctuations for almost 40 years.

In conclusion, there is an increasing trend for a period of 3 millenniums but the sulfur dioxide presence was very high as compared to smoke. At the end both figures expressed same level at 0point.
