Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown in the diagrams below

The given line graph compares the number of tourists in two destinations, namely Malaysia and Dubai over an eight-year span starting from 1995.

Obviously, in the 1995-2001 period, the number of tourists travelling to both Malaysia and Dubai witnessed a steep growth, however, from 2001 onwards, the trends were completely different. Having attracted approximately 50 thousand visitors in 1995, the figure for Dubai slightly declined for a brief period and then made a dramatic recovery. In 2003, Dubai attracted 400 thousand visitors, which was almost eight times higher that in 1995. However, after a span of considerable rise from 1995 to 2001, the number of travellers to Malaysia reached its peak of nearly 350 thousand in 2001 before suffering a rapid drop in the subsequent years.

In addition, in terms of attracting tourists, there was a significant change in the position of the two countries. Having been the more favourite destination, Malaysia saw a decrease in the number of tourists from 2001 to 2003, becoming the less admired one.
