The line graph shows the percentage of daily audiences of radio and television in The United Kingdom from October to December 1992.

Overall, in the period, the percentage of people watching TV was far higher than that of listening radio. The most favorite time to enjoy TV was around 8 pm when workers came back from work. After 10 pm the trend felt down significantly until it reached almost zero at 2 am and remained still until 6 am when people would be resting in their beds.

In contrast, the radio was listened the most in the morning – 8 am – and would keep decreasing until it came to the lowest point – almost zero at 2 am. Similar to TV, after 2 am the number stayed relatively unchanged – hovering just few percent above the baseline.

It is concluded that television was more popular than radio in the period between October and December 1992; People chose to watch TV in the night whereas in the morning they preferred to listen to the radio.
