The table below shows the cinema viewing figures for films by country, in millions.
The table compares the number of four genres showed by four countries. Overall, Action is the most popular film viewed while the reverse is true for Horror. It is also clear that cinema in India views the highest number of total films.
The action movie is the most widely enjoyed in all four countries with the total is 30 million of viewers, about 7-8 million of viewers in each country. In contrast, the horror film has the least number of viewers, with the total viewer is about 16 million. Only 2.2 and 2.5 million of people in Japan and India prefer to watch it. However, this genre is more popular in Ireland and New Zealand, with 6.4 and 4.7 million of viewers respectively.
Turning to the remaining genres, the number of people watching romance films in India is significantly higher than the other countries, with 7.5 million of viewers, while the figures for other countries are about 4-4.5 million of viewers. Similarly, in terms of comedy films, 6.5 million of people viewing the film compared to about 4-5.5 million of people in the other countries viewing this genre.
