The table represents the consumer durables like telephone, television, dishwasher and so on owned in Britain from 1972 to 1983. The highlighting feature of the table was the ownership of central heating was uplifted by nearly 30% in these 11 years.

As is observed from the given data, television was the most common consumer durable with 93% in 1972 and 98% in 1983 in Britain. The video has been invented later in 1983 and only 18% of the houses had it. 87% of the British houses had vaccum cleaners in 1972 whereas in next 12 years, it had been surged to 95% which shows 12% climb in it.

The percentage of refrigerator and washing machine climbed at the same percentage in Britain with 73% in 1972 and 94% in 1983. Even in between years it had surged at same rate. Moreover, dishwasher has been innovated near about 1978. As only 5% British houses had dishwasher in 1983. Only 42% British houses had telephone facility in 1972 whereas it soared to 77% in 1983. It is a great of increased demand of telephone facility in Britain.

While analysing overall, the least common consumer durable with only 5% was dishwasher whereas the most common consumer durable was television with 98%.
