Thr provided line graph depicts the information about the amount of oil produced and consumed in China between the years 1982 and 2006.
Overall, the consumption of oil in China has increased in the given period while there was an increase in production rate initially and it remained stable afterwards.
Now turning to the details, during the initial period, there was a sharp increase in oil production. In 1982, approximately 2 millions of oil barrels were produced per day which increased to 3 millions in the next four years. Although, there was an increase in production rate during that period but the consumption rate (2 million barrels/day)remained relatively stable till 1990.
In contrast to the initial years, the demand and usage of oil in China inclined between 1990 and 2006. The per day consumption of oil reached to its highest in 2000 when more than 6 million barrels were consumed in a day. On the other side, the production rate was relatively low; nearly 3.5 millions of oil barrels were produced in a day which was almost a half of the daily usage.
