Dear Jane,
I am writing to provide informaiton on recent news item that was on headlines.
It was an incident happened in eastern part of India, city called Kolkata. The fly-over which was under construction has collapsed causing many fatalities , severe injuries to workers and damage to public property. The quality of the materials builder used are not suited for the geological aspects of the construction also the government system is corrupted to an extent where the people who has power and money will get all the projects with influence and money.
To all these atrocities, common man is the one who is suffering. Althogh there was an uproar on this incident , it was temporary. People move on with their lives, leaving this whole thing behind. Victims may get a compensation from government if electronic media make it big issue. However the payout can take several months sometimes years. If the victim is breadwinner for the family, then the family would be on the road.
