You read an advertisement from local newspaper about a discount sale at a particular shop. However, when you went to buy the goods you wanted, you found the sale had ended.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express the inconvenience caused because of your newspaper. As I follow your newspaper on a daily basis, I came across a Sale advertisement in BigBazaar, Shalimarbagh, Delhi from 2 January to 10 January 2017. Therefore, I visited this place on 9 January 2017 to buy groceries and a Sony Television.
After picking up groceries and selecting my desired Sony Television model, I was expecting a flat 50% discount on the entire bill. But to my disappointment, this was not the case. The manager at the billing counter told me that sale had already ended on 5 Jan 2017 and it was a misprinting by your newspaper. I was really shocked and annoyed. He also said that they have encountered several such cases for the past few days. To avoid any insult, I paid for the complete bill, though I did not have the budget to purchase such an expensive television, otherwise.
I strongly hold your newspaper responsible for this incident and demand a compensation doe the television that I have bought. Otherwise, I will have to file an official complaint in the nearby Police Station.
