The line chart depicts the information regarding the fluctuations in new born rates of China and USA for a span of 8 decades, from 1920 to 2000.

It is clear from the data that, during the initial period of 1920's the birth rate of China and USA were almost the same, showed a mere difference of 2% and a slow upward trend. But after the 5 yers of time, in 1925 both nations birth rate dipped to it's original figure of 1920 (10% and 12% respectively). In 1925, both regime's figures showed an increasing trend again. Whereas, China's new born rate reached not so high as figure of 15% in 1935.

From 1935 to 1950, China and USA figures reflected some fluctuations and reached its all time high proportion of 20% and 15% respectively. China's figures faced a steep decline in the year 1955 by more than below half percentage of previous recorded numbers and continued this trend till the year 2000. There it touched almost the rock bottom point of 2%. While, USA also showed the same downward trend but not that much as china. USA figures at the end of the the millennium was 7%.

In conclusion, Both countries started off with an increasing trend and reached their high percentages during the year of 1950.
At the same time their new born rates reduced drastically over the period of 80 years of time.
