The Recent figure shows an increase in violent crime among youngsters under the age of 18. Some psychologists claim that the basic reason for this is that children these days are not getting the social and emotional learning they need from parents and teachers.
The world is following the limelight of the modernization, Crimes have followed that transitions like a shadow and gradually that shadow have started to take over the world. A recent survey shares some facts regarding that issue. It is found that crime rate among the youngsters under 18 has raised. Some psychologists believe that the reason behind this is a lack of knowledge coming from the parents and teachers. I could not agree more with the speculation.
For the beginners, I would like to say that, a child learns mostly from two groups of people, Parents, and Teachers. The primary source of knowledge, according to me, are parents, as they are most nearer to a child. He sees them on daily basis and learns from them. A parent, on the other hand, has forgotten this fact and nowadays they are not paying a keen attention to what their child is doing. They will not think about the right or wrong and would only support their child even if the doing is child's mistake. This really spoils the child. Such social teachings and imparting appropriate sacraments is a parent's responsibility.
The teachers, on the other hand, are no less responsible. We all know that a school is similar to the second home for a child. According to me, there should be a course called moral science in the school, so that a child can actually learn. With this, teachers can also impart appropriate knowledge in these regards. Further, Nowadays the computer games and mobile phones have become fuel in the fire. The games most of the time constitutes of one person killing other. This all messes with a child's psychology. Even with the presence of these, it is a parent's and teacher's responsibility to make a child learn the difference between right and wrong.
On a political note, I would say, a child well groomed with these sacraments and an ability to classify right and wrong, can become a great political leader for a nation, if not then, he can also support an appropriate political leader. Crime rates among youngsters will definitely plummet with these implementations and the shadow that is rising can be fought off well to make a peaceful society.
Overall, yes it is a parent's and a teacher's utmost responsibility to impart the knowledge of the difference between social and anti-social and should provide for a child's emotional needs too.
