The world is becoming increasingly globalised, and people who speak more than one language are increasingly in demand in the job market. Therefore, all children should learn a second language.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Learning bilingual is not a fashion in fact it is necessity of life. I, therefore, recommend that every children should be encouraged to learn more than one language to be able to survive in the soaring competition.

To embark upon, many children nowadays are moving abroad for their advance studies. Most of them try to settle themselves in the same country after finishing their education. Though, seeking education only is not enough to spot a good job in a reputable company, therefore, extra skills are always required to make impeccable impression on your employer. In addition to that, looking up at the social medias we often encounter the job advertisements recommending the jobs to those job seekers who have excellent command in different languages. They certainly have an edge over others who have command on single language.

In addition to that, this ability will not only help them to find a better job market but also allow them to adjust in multi-cultural environment. For example, in any multinational company, many employees come from different backgrounds. While understanding their languages ease half of the issues arising due to linguistic differences. It also help them in schools to make good peers.

It is very important for children to have strong hold on different languages. Parents should also entice their children by explaining the benefits of multilingual skills. I believe that people who do not procrastinate the opportunity always get success in their lives.

More and more people received opportunities to learn an additional language due to globalisation. Some people argue that this development enables bilinguals to get job easily and so, children should learn a new language. I agree with this view as it helps people to avoid competition in the job market and communicate easily in the workplace. This essay focuses on specific reasons for this.

To begin with, since searching for a job becoming harder and harder in the era of extensive competition, most of the companies need new criteria to screen candidates. As a result, schools and parents have been motivating students to take another language to establish a way to secure a career. For example, the Indian government has implemented a must-take-second language system which consists of twenty different languages at high school. This helped students to crack the interview when they searched for a placement.

Moreover, knowing a second language is beneficial for employees to communicate with foreign workers or customers effectively. To explain, if a person knows the English language well, this may help him to understand other workers whose mother tongue is English. Therefore, this is clear evidence that learning an additional language always good for individuals. Finally, children can learn a new language effortlessly than adults. So, it suggests teaching a child a second language at a younger age.

However, some cultures and societies may not welcome this development as it may seriously affect the root of some languages and traditions. As a consequence, a number of people reluctant to support and teach an additional language to preserve their language.

To conclude, although an additional language may partially destroy a culture, I believe that children should learn another language if possible to secure a job and to be productive at the office.
