Sydney Opera House was a clear example of the advancement in the structural engineering in that period. It was considered as a masterwork of architecture in modern period. According to the lecturer, it remarks as a creature of the computer age and the age of high technological revolution for the artist of that period. The professor further explains the Sydney Opera House as a ship in harbour rather than a structural monument. It was way different from the organic structure completed by Frank Lloyd.

The design of the Sydney Opera House was a dramatic concept by John Utzon which was more like a sculpture than a building due to its changing appearance of shape when viewed from different directions. It took around 17 years for the construction of Opera House to get completed which was unique in its kind. It's roof alone had required almost 2200 precast concrete sections out of which some were 15 tons heavy, held by 220 miles of tensioned steel cable and covered by more than a million white glazed ceramic tiles. It was way different from a international school back then in Sydney and being designed in international skyscrapper mode, the professor classifies this building as unique.
