The reading passage claims that there are several measures have been proposed to stop the spread of the cane toad in Australia. However, The lecturer casts serious doubts on this claim by presenting some counter-arguments and examples. She believes that none of these proofs are convincing.

This, however, is contradicted to reading passage mentions that one way to prevent the spread of the toad would be to build a national fence.

On the other hand, it is noted in the passage that the toads could be capture and destroy by volunteers. In contrast, she clearly states that volunteers could not distinguish between frogs and toads, actually they destroy the frog's population moreover, it is not easy to capture toads easily especially the youngest ones.

Finally, the speaker points out that viruses that come from Australia to United State decrease the population of the toads. Because most of the reptile and amphibian transport to the America have this disease, hence when they arrive there, release this virus also kill a huge amount of the toads. It is a disaster in this location due these toads are the native animals in America.
