According to passage, cane toads introduce in the Australia from the south and Central America for benefit purpose but the cane toad now harmful for native species of the Australia, increase the population of toads and spread causes few specific tactic to hinder the population growth and spread. However, according to the lecture, author's provide the method for rid the cane toad in the Australia are unsuccessful because of three reason as discusses following paragraphs.
Firstly, the reading states that build a nation fence cause prevent to enter not colonized area. In contrast, the lecturer mentions that young toad and egg travel by the river and stream to one side to other side of the areas, therefore, establish the fence doesn't work to rid the toad’s populations.
Secondly, the passage implies that volunteer catch and prevent the toad spreading. On the other hand, the speaker explains that untrained volunteer can't distinguish between native frog and young cane toads, as result of the damage to native frog and other species.
Lastly, the author's emphasizes that developing virus to deter the toad’s populations. In contrary, the professor points out that virus infect to toads and which is transport in to the South America, consequently, infected toads spread infection to the other toads of the South America. In fact, the cane toads is play essential role in ecosystem as well as toads are one of the native spice of South America. As result, the serious effect on the South America’s ecosystem.
