TPO 17 Integrated writing

In the lecture the speaker explains why no one of the problem presented in the reading serve as explanation of the purpose why if the human population increase that will result in decline in the number of the birds in USA. The three reasons why the professor refutes the points made in the reading will be explained below.

First of all, the lecture asserts that it is true that will result in reduce and decline of the birds population, but not for all kind of birds. On the other hand, some popilotion will increase in the city, while others will decrease. This point directly refutes the point from the reading, which claims that as human populations continue to expand, all natural habitats will continue to disappear.

Second, the lecture avers that it is true that will led to increase in agricultural activities, but not in the same way the reading discusess that. She sates that the truth is now usa use less and less land and the production resulted from the introduction new more productive crops. Which means there are more foods , so no need to destroy any land. Again, this disputes what is stated in reading, which is the growth of agriculture will result in the future destruction of bird habitats.

Third, the professor argues that today people are aware more about the side effects of pesticides on birds. As result two changes have done, the first change is that people now use natural pesticides which are less toxic. The second change is growing persistent crops, which means that these crops are in their genetic persistent to insects. This point disputes the point from the passage as well, because the reading argues that more agricultural activities, more chemical pesticides will use to kill insects.
