The reading and the lecture are both about Torreya taxifoha, which is once very popular around Florida but gradually have been declining. The author of reading gives three possible solution against this problem. The lecturer casts doubt on the claim made in the article. The thinks that all posible solutions are illogical and do not reflect the fact that.

First of all, the author of reading points out that Torreya taxifoha should be reestablished in the same location that they once live because it is micro climate area. This point is challanged by the lecturer. She says that this location getting cooler and cooler therefore it hurts their life. Furthermore, she argues that because of global tempreture increasing region is too dry for Torreya taxifona.

Secondly, author contends that they might be moved to different location where tempreture is cooler. The lecturer rebuts this argument. She notes that this argument is experienced before with Black Locas three and failed because when they moved there, they killed other plant and disturbed the balance of forest. She eleborates this by mentioning that scientiest should avoid of to do because its unpredictible consequences might be irrepressible.

Finally, the author of reading states that researchers may investigate them in research center therefore they can monitor result with the computer and devices. The lecturer, on the other hand, posist that centers are not capable of this kind of research because it needs too large area. She puts forth the idea that this research can cause disase and scientiest can not resist.

In conclusion, the lecturer effectively casts doubt on all of the claims and theories presented in the reading.
