The article states about some improvements in trees that is called Genetic Modification. This manner can create more benefits for trees. The article provides three reasons of support. However, the professor in the lecture casts serious doubt on the passage by using a number of points that are contrary to each of the author's reasons.

First of all, the reading claims that these trees can endure more harsh environments than other trees. In contrast, the professor refutes this point by saying that it is not too great as it sounds. He mentions it may be resistant to just some environments. As a result, for most threat conditions like harsh weather, it is not beneficial. Besides, forming a group of trees like this, can endanger all of them to die. This threat is related to climate change and new past in whole of the area.

On another hand, the article posits that new tree can give a chance to acquire more benefits for people who are growing new tree. However, the teacher describes that it can cause hidden costs. According to the teacher, new tree needs other facilities including performed land and paying to other companies in order to grow them.

Finally, the reading makes it clear that new tree is useful due to the fact that it prevents over exploitation of other trees. On the other hand, the lecturer opposes this point by explaining that it can harm other trees more aggressively. We also learn that it can cause tension soils and water resources. So it is not an efficient idea.
