In the reading passage, it talks about the evidences from dinosaur’s fossil which show this kind of dinosaurs have not feather, however, the professor holds different idea and explains and refutes readings reasons.
To begin with, in the reading material we learn that fiber skin of dinosaurs made from their buried in the volcanic ash and decomposed in the fiber, so, it cannot show exist of feathers on their bodies. The professor thinks that before than this, no researches about other animals, which lived at the same time with dinosaurs, have showed fiber on the animal’s skin are from volcano ash.
In addition, in the reading passage, it says that dinosaur's skeleton demonstrate the frills on their body instead of feathers. While, the professor indicates that there are many chemically different between frill and feather. Research on their content will show there are feathers because of one chemical material, which is in the frills but is absence in the feathers.
As final point, according to the passage feathers could not be useful for the dinosaurs because feathers are for preventing the skin to lose lower heat or are for flying and dinosaurs did not need to them, but the professor mentions that feather function is not only for these two purposes and like some birds can have various usage.
In conclusion, the professor does not agree with the article reasons and he believes dinosaurs have feather.
