A sample Answer to this speaking in text:

The writer of the letter proposes to cancel the advisor meetings because all the necessary information is already on the website, so students don’t need to meet advisors and because scheduling meetings with advisors is very hard.

The man in the conversation doesn’t agree with the writer. He thinks, first of all, the information on the website is just basic. Advisors have extra information that can help us figure out different ways to meet requirements. Sometimes, having other people to help will make things easier. The man also says that scheduling meetings is not that difficult. You just have to call the office and make schedules earlier. Those who have problems are people who always wait until the last minute.

1. Did you see this letter?
2. Yeah, why?
3. Well, I don't agree.
4. It's definitely not the same thing to just go on the university's Web site.
5. You don't think so?
6. No, I mean, sure, the basic information is there, but that's not all advisors help you with.
7. Sometimes there're different ways you can meet a requirement for graduation, like, different classes you can take.
8. And if you talk to someone, they can help you figure it out.
9. And you can't get that from just reading what's on the Web site.
10. Right, advisors have a lot of expert information so they make it easier for you to see what your choices are.
11. I see what you mean.
12. And as for scheduling meetings, I've never had that kind of trouble.
13. Me neither.
14. So anyone who does have problems must be waiting to the last minute to set something up.
15. That's possible.
16. I mean, the thing is, if you call or go to the office early enough to set up an appointment, schedules are open.
17. It's just that if you wait till the last possible day, it'll be harder cause they already have lots of students scheduled then.
