Animal fossils usually provide very little opportunity to study the actual animal tissues, because in fossils the animals' living tissues have been largely replaced by minerals. Thus, scientists were very excited recently

The reading passage reports the finding of an animal tissue on a T.rex fossil. The professor is skeptical about finding tissue on such an old fossil. Specifically, three findings have reported which the professor refutes each finding.

First, the professor states that the remainder of the blood vessels and red blood cells in the leg bone can not belong to a dinosaur. He explains that there are certain bacterias that can live in the bone and their residue are mistaken of blood vessels and blood cells.

Second, the reading posits that there are soft flexible organic substances inside bones' channels that are remains of blood vessels of a T.rex. But the professor reminds of the other fossils found in the vicinity of excavation site which have no sign of such substances.

Third, the report says that they have found Collagen in dinosaur leg bone. The professor refutes this claim and explains that Collagen has never found in fossils with an age more than 100 years old. He also mentions that the Collagen scientists founded can be of the skin of the scientists themselves which contains Collagen.
