Relying on fossil fuels such oil and coal for our energy needs is becoming increasingly impractical. The rising cost and the the decreasing supply of these fuels along the concerns about the global warming they cause, means we must find an alternative. The only realistic alternative is nuclear energy. To what extent do yoe agree or disagree?

One of the greatest problems we confront these days is the demand supply mismatch. This breeds true in the case of energy sources which are dwindling day by day. Now, the question is whether to use alternative source of energy over fossil fuels. From my viewpoint, nuclear power should not be counted upon extensively for various reasons.

Nowadays, atomic power is often deemed as the mightiest a source of energy, but it is very essential to consider its repercussions before venturing into such a crucial mission. The hazardous effects of nuclear power is ceaseless and the radiation released around the vicinity of nuclear plants lasts for thousands of years. Japan's nuclear power plant explosion this year owing to earth quakes and Chernobyl nuclear disaster are the best illustrations of nuclear catastrophe. The hangovers of this perpetual calamities are evidenced by physical deformities of newborn children and incidences of various forms of malignancies in the affected areas.

Moreover, uranium, an element used for nuclear fission is not a renewable source of energy. The opponents claim that, its benefits can be availed for hundreds of years. In this context, people are becoming so covetuous without rethinking about posterity. Even, the so called,'fossil fuels'are non renewable. It is high time to avert to renewable energy sources such as water,solar,geo-thermal, wind and so on. Eventhough, the viability of the aforementioned energy sources are diminutive, we must harness the available resources extensively.

However,it is widely acknowledged that, the nuclear energy is potent enough to quench the energy needs of voracious people. Besides it is inexpensive and produces very less waste, but nobody could counteract its negative impact on people's life.

The put it in a nutshell, atomic energy is not the best alternative to our energy problem. So let us exploit the renewable sources to the fullet potential before diverging into atomic power.

it would be good to put 'it is widely acknowledged that, the nuclear energy is potent enough to quench the energy needs of voracious people. Besides it is inexpensive and produces very less waste, but nobody could counteract its negative impact on people's life.' as second paragraph and just support one side.

you have the great ability on language. you should not consider too much on templates.
