The graph below shows differences in wheat exports over three different areas. write a report to describe the information shown below.

The line graph illustrates changes of wheat export volumes in Australia, Canada and the European Community from 1985 to 1990.

Overall, all figures in each area per year fluctuated between 10 million tonnes and 25 million tonnes. While Australia was least likely to sell wheat overseas, the most dramatic fluctuation was seen in Canada.

In 1985, around 15 million tones of wheat came from Australia. The European community was responsible for about 17 million tones of wheat, while Canada produced for just under 20 million tones.

Canada’s wheat export volume surged to its peak at 25 million tonnes in 1988 before falling suddenly at under 15 million tones in the following year but returning to its former figure of just under 20 million in 1990. In contrast, Australia’s figure fell gradually, with just over 10 million tonnes falling into this category by 1990. Meanwhile, the European community sector saw a small increase (around 4 million tonnes) in wheat exports, reaching a peak of over 20 million tonnes in 1990.
