The article claims that genetic trees it is beneficial and supports three reasons of support. However, the professor express that use genetic modification trees have some problems, hence she refutes each of the author's reasons.

First, the passage mention that genetic trees are harder and can resistant better versus pest and provide one example for justify it. On contrary, the speaker refutes this point by stating that every trees can have low resistance versus a certain pest, so diversity of trees cause never all of them be destroyed by a same pest. Nevertheless, genetic trees are uniform; therefore, all of them are vulnerable from same pests. It means we can lose all of them by spreading a special pest.

Second, the reading states that use genetic trees is economical, because they grow up fast and allows tree farmers to get quickly their farming investment. In contrast, the professor disagrees with matter and saying that investing in these kinds of tree is not affordable. He express that the farmer have to purchase the seeds of genetic trees, which is costly, while they can foist other trees free.

Finally, text asserts that genetic trees prevent of extinction of wild trees because they can satisfy demand for wood. Conversely, the professor oppose with this point by saying that these modifications trees can grow up faster, so they can compete out native trees by getting basic resources such as light, water, and soil nutrient. As a result, genetic trees can cause destruction of local trees
