The table below shows the figures for imprisonment in five countries between 1930 and 1980 write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below

The bar chart illustrates the number of prisoners in the 5 countries namely Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States from 1930 to 1980.
overall it is clear from the chart that the highest figure for imprisonment was in the USA for almost all years, whereas the great Britain had less number of prisoners.
Taking a closer look, from 1930 to 1980 the number of prisoners in the USA was for higher than other countries. Initially, they had hundred prisoners and it increased to 140 in 1980, after a 50 years period. The second highest was Canada at 120 in 1930 whereas decreased to around 90 in 1980.
In contrast, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand had almost similar figures as well as they had the less number of prisoners. In 1930,
Great Britain had around 30 prisoners and which increased to 80 in 1980. In 1980, Britain and Newzealand had the almost similar figure at above 80, whereas Australia's number decreased to around 50.
