Different modes of European transportation from 1950, 1970 and 1990.

The bar chart reveals the outcome of the study about different modes of European transportation from 1950, 1970 and 1990.

One can see, in 1950, walking was the most popular way of transportation amongst European with 40% but that percentage declined steadily over the latter years which made walking the least favorite. A similar situation exists with the bicycle where the percentage leveled off over one half of 30% in 1950 to 1990 respectively.

On the other hand, the car had the lowest amount of users with only 10% as did the public utility bus which had around 20%. From 1970the amount of people using the bus rose consistently,Whilst in 1990, the European commuters fell gradually by 15%. Conversely, car users increased rapidly from 10% in 1950 to 25% in 1970 and 40% in 1990.

The major conclusion I can draw from the graph is that the car was the most popular way of transportation for European in the most recent years.
