Advertisement methods
The given table shows the proportion of five various advertisement ways spent by four UK car brands in 2008.
It is clear that advertisement on television was the most favourite choice of all four car companies in spreading their reputation. In contrast, the least chosen option for advertisement belonged to radio advẻtisement in all car enterprises.
Bentley and Land Rover spent 36.91% and 25.67% respectively of their promotion budget to advertise on television, which took over the largest percentage compared to their other methods. Besides, the figure for Bentley’s web page advertisement was nearly 16% which was equal to Land Rover’s number in this method. By contrast, there were only 2.21% and 3.20% on radio advertisement spent by Bentley and Land Rover respectively.
MG and Lotus had the same pattern in their advertisement expenditure in 2008. Specificially, television advertisement still accounted for the largest proportion, at 22.96% and 39.14% for MG and Lotus respectively. Meanwhile, Lotus concentrated on promoting on web page with a quite high rate of around a quarter. On the contrast, MG and Lotus spent more on radio advertisement than that of two other car companies, at 7.98% and 4.35% respectively.
