Average Household Expenditure in 2019 and 2020

In general, while the expense for consumption, housing, and education decreased, the budget for education and other products & services showed the reverse. However, meals remained the biggest expenditure at the end of the period.
In 2019, the proportion of the budget spent on education was three times larger than on healthcare, accounting for 13% and 5% respectively. However, a dramatic increase was seen in the healthcare expense by fivefold in 2020, while the expense for education shrunk to below one in ten, making it the lowest expense among all.
While a significant raise in expense was seen in other products and services by 11%, the proportion of housing and consumption spending decreased by no more than one in ten in 2020. Nevertheless, the budget spent on food remained consuming the biggest spending at the end of the year.
