The chart illustrates how much money the government spends on road and transport in the Italy, Portugal, UK and USA during the period of 15 years.
Overall, It is viewed that, government had spent the percentage on road and transport of Portugal in the recorded years whilst UK had lower proportion than other countries over a period of 15 years.
To begin, the government expenditure on the road and transport of Portugal was about 27% in 1990 which was consistently decreased and stood st approximately 20% in 2005. By contrast, USA had followed the opposite pattern of Portugal. USA government spent exactly 12% in 1990 and the number went up and reached to a peak of 15% in 2005 with a brief drip in 1995.
On the other hand, in Italy, the government spent more than 20% in 1990, this figure then fluctuated and eventually drooped to exactly 29% in 2005. Similarly, UK government followed the same pattern. The government expenditure on road and transportation was only 10% in 1990 and declined to 9% in 1995. Subsequently, the number marked at 7% in 2005 after reaching to a peak of 13% in 2000.
