The bar chart illustrates the amount of money spent by the Citizens of UK, Canada, Japan and United states in five categories (Food, housing, Transportation, clothing) in the year 2009.

In a general overview, people from the surveyed countries spent the most in housing whereas the least in health care and clothing.

With regards to house expenses, the people of Unites States have the highest expense with approximately 27%. Closely followed by United Kingdom around 24%, Japan and Canada spent the least in this category, 22% and 20% respectively. Food occupies the second place, Japan leading this kind with 23%, United Kingdom with 20% and Canada and United States allocating almost the same amount with 155 an% 14 % respectively.

The given countries has spent fairly on transportation, Canadian citizens contributed the most with figure 20%, Whereas Japan spent only half this amount. Health care and clothing was the least preferred category of people to spent their money, figures mostly not exceeding 5% in all countries
