The chart below show the number of girls per 100 boys in all levels of education.
The bar graph compares how many female students were there compared to that of the male peers in all three levels of education between developing and developed nations in 1990 and 2000 with the estimated figures of 2005.
Overall, the female numbers in developed countries were higher than the in third world countries, and tertiary education( in developed countries) was the only place with more females. Notably, the number of girls alleviated with an increase in the level of education in developing countries.
Firstly, in elementary school of poor countries, there was a slight increase in female students rising from 83 pupils in 1990 to 87 in 2000. While female students in affluent ones rose with similar figures to end in the vicinity of 96 pupils.in addition, the figures of developing countries were lower in junior high school but it had a considerable growth of 10 pupils(82) over this period.The rich countries, meanwhile target for both ( primary and secondary) is set at100.
Moreover, the decreasing figures of developing countries continued to plummet as it was the last for Tertiary education. These numbers saw a rapid climb from a mere 66 girls to 75 in the decades. Interestingly the only place where females than men were in developed countries in both 1990 and 2000 with figures of 105 and 115 respectively. It is expected to have an equal number of boys and girls in 2005.
