The figure elucidates the amount of males and females in higher education in Britain in between 1970 and 1990 for studying full-time and part-time. At first glance, it is evident that in comparison with males, females experienced an enormous upsurge for both aspects.
To begin with males, the total of men in full-time education experienced a gradual growth between 1970, which made up approximately at a half of 200, and 1990, which constituted at just above two times of 100. In contrast, there was a dramatic drop for the number of part-time education for me where it, initially, stood at 1000 and plunged to well beyond four-fifths of 1000 in 1980. Erratically, it uplifted considerably, soaring to well under 1000 in 1990.
