Then in 1939, owned housings started to increase to about 32% while rented accommodations began to decline to approximately 68%. Both bought and leased housings then stayed at the same percentages in 1953. After that, in 1961 rented accommodations declined to about 59% while purchased accommodations increased to approximately 42%. Both categories then had same percentages in 1971, at 50%.
In 1981, the trends started to reverse. Possessed accommodations began to increase to 60% while leased housings started to decrease to around 40%. Then in 1991 bought housings continued to increase to around 68% while rented accommodations kept decreasing to approximately 32%. After that in 2001, possessed accommodations experienced a slight increase and reached about 69% while leased housings had a little decrease and ended at about 31%. Finally, in 2011 bought housings dropped to around 58% while leased housings rose to about 38%.
