The chart below shows the percentage of the population in the UK who consumed the recommended daily amount of fruit and vegetables in 2002, 2006 and 2010

The bar chart illustrates the percentage of adults in two genders and children who purchase fruits and vegetables every day in UK in 2002, 2006 and 2010
Overall, women always contributed the largest proportion while children took the minor one in the total number of people consuming fruit and vegetable daily. Another interesting point is that those figures for all three groups were highest in 2006.
Looking at details, in 2002 the number of children ate fruit and vegetables everyday made up 11% of population while this figure doubled for men at the same time. In the next 8 years, there were upward trends for the percentage of both children and men, increased by 3% and 2% in 2010 respectively, a slight changed.
The percentage of women who consumed the recommended daily amount of planted food remained the first place over the period. In 2002 there was exact a quarter of British women have fruit and vegetables in daily diet. This figure grew dramatically reaching the peak at 32% which was higher as twice as children’s figure in the same period. Finally the proportion women fell down by 5% in 2010 finishing the period given with 27%.
