The presented line graph and pie chart illustrates the information about the expenditure of money on books and comparison of books bought in four provinces of United Kingdom respectively. The data is about UK from 1997 to 2002. The data is calibrated in million pounds.
In general, from the layout it is clear that the trend of expenditure had increased over time. Moreover, majority the books were bought by the people of England only.
Now, turning to the details in year 1997 nearly about 11 million pounds was spent on books. By the time the expenditure increased to about 16 and 19 million lbs in the year 1998 and 1999 respectively. Furthermore, by 2000 the trend rose about 22 millions. After that, it increased slightly in 2001 and reached to the peak level of 24 millions in 2002.
In addition to this, from the pie chart it is clear that 81 percent of books were bought by England only. Whereas, from the rest of 20% only one percent in Northern Ireland , 10% in Whales and eight percent in Scotland.
