The given pie charts illustrate the average proportions of three types of nutrients that may be unhealthy if overused in daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in the USA. Overall, the sodium and saturated fat consumption can mostly be seen in dinner, except for added sugar which is the major nutrient in snacks.

Turning first into the types of nutrients used in snacks and dinner. sodium and saturated fat consumptions in dinner are relatively higher than any other meals, at 43% and 37% accordingly. On contrary, dinner contains just nearly one-fourth of added sugar. Turning to snacks, this type of meal has the lowest percentage of sodium consumption, at 14%. Similarly, the saturated fat consumed in snacks is just about one-fifth. However, a high amount of added sugar can be witnessed in snacks, at 42%.

The other two meals do not register significant percentages in all three types of nutrients. The proportion of sodium used in breakfast is the same as snacks, at 14%, followed by 29% in lunch. Saturated fat has quite similar percentages of consumption to sodium for breakfast and lunch, at 16% and 26% in turn. By contrast, added sugar used in breakfast and lunch is relatively low, at 16% and 19% respectively.
