The given pie charts compare the daily schedule of adults in one state between 1958 and 2008. It can be seen that adults were doing different activities during whole day.
Overall, people spent their maximum time in working. Sleeping time was the second highest. Very less citizens were interested in sports as well as in travelling for work.
In 1958, almost one third of the day was spent on working (33%), and marginally less time on sleeping with 32%. Travel to work is one of the rare activity. People spent only 2% time for it from their routine. Going out with family and friends was less popular compare to working with 19%. Relaxation and playing sport had covered 8% and 6% respectively.
In 2008, the time spent on working increased by 9%, whereas the time for sleeping decreased by 7%. The time spent on travelling to work increased four fold from 2% to 8%. There was a significant decline on the time spending on going out with family and friends. It was dropped from 19% to 6%. In contrast, the time for relaxation and sports was inclined by 5% and 2% respectively.
