The graphs illustrate the proportion of water consumed for various intentions in six regions of the world (North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia).
In general, it is clear to see that most percentage of water used for agriculture is in South America, Africa, and Asia, while most consumption of water in North America and Europe are used in industry.
The highest rate of using water for industry is in developed countries in North America and Europe with around a half (48% and 53% respectively), they also are the areas use water for agriculture less than other countries. Developing and undeveloped countries (South America, Africa, and Asia) use most water in agricultural production with over 70%, in which central Asia with nearly 90% of water used.
America and Europe are the regions where have the consumption of water for domestic use are more than others with over 12%. In contrast, domestic use in Asia and Africa are using water under 10%.
