The diagram illustrates the different steps through which rainwater is collected for drinking purposes in an Australian city.
Overall, it can be seen that there are 7 different steps. Thr process starts from the collection of rain water and ends in the delivery of pure drinking water.
To begin, the rain water is first collected from the roof of houses. Through pipes the collected water to the drain. From there, it is moved to the water filtration system chamber, where the water is is filtered. After the big and small impurities are filtered from the water, through a tube it is shifted to an underground storage compartment.
In the following stage, from the storage compartment, through a pipe the water is transferred to the water treatment plant. Inside the plant the impure water is purified by the addition of certain chemicals. After purification, through a tube, the pure water is transferred back to the houses, where it is used for drinking purposes.
